I really hate repeating myself, but if you're going to venture into the Foglands, make sure you seal the bunker doors behind you. Make sure that you're either modded or you've brought a rebreather with you. If you're not modded, try to bring someone who is with you.
Psychic powers are not a suitable modification for the Foglands.
We're still trying to get people like Legion, The Black Flashes, Seth and the others to come inside the bunker where we can try to actually help them. To that end, a few of us went outside and repaired a few of the old public TCs. So if we start getting messages from out there, there's you're explanation. If it freaks you out, deal with it. At least it's not the Zippit that got in last time someone forgot to seal the bunker doors.
[ Are you in the bunker? What part of it? One of the bunk rooms? The clinic? The kitchen? The makeshift grow-room, where you at? Post yourself, have some conversations, some meet ups. ]
[ There is a small child wandering the bunker. Probably unsupervised except for the Shadow Cat that's following her. If anyone asks, it got in through a vent and refused to leave. And by that, we mean it really did get in through a vent and refused to leave for longer than it takes for the thing to catch Nightmare Fuel to eat.
She can be found either in her garden, tending to the plants and picking a few of the ready vegetables. Or in the kitchen, putting said small harvest away.
Or possibly in a makeshift playroom with one three year old Evelyn Jasmine Kelly, teaching the small girl how to read. ]
[Jemma Simmons can be found in her lab. There she makes medications for the various allergens / poisons the monsters outside so liberally give to those who leave the bunker. For the longest while, Jemma had to limit her work, but the reason for that sleeps in room behind the lab. That room is designed with a seal that lets people through, but neutralizes the more dangerous chemicals.
If she's not immediately visible, check the room behind the lab.
With her will be a six month old baby, named Fitz. Do not ask to hold the baby. The likelihood you're one of the few people to whom she would give Fitz, even for a few minutes, would be very slim.]
Tony can be found in his lab head bent over whatever bits of wire and metal he is working on this week. Various versions of his robot zip around the space hyper aware of their creator's every twitch and tilt. A head nod could send one for coffee while an eyebrow raise could send another out the door to fetch some item Tony suddenly realized he needed.
They were the only things besides the stationary machines making noise in the lab, because these days Tony prefers quiet above all else even from himself.
[Wanda is in the kitchen, making paprikash, she hasn't really done much or said much of anything to anyone upon arriving in New Dodge. She keeps her head down and works at the kitchen. She doesn't dare go outside, not after that first venture out that had sent her body scattering far more than the HYDRA agents did.]
[Another day, another Harry cure that doesn't bring back flesh and blood to her. Caitlin sets down the vial and looks down at her hand, now no long surprised to see faceted ice staring back at her. She pulls on her gloves and goes back to working around the Clinic to check on whatever patients have made their way into her Clinic after facing the fog or worse.]
[Neil keeps to himself, mostly--but he's also as helpful as humanly possible, wherever he's needed.
He likes that he can help here, do more than kill in the name of his king.
So to that end, he can be found all over the bunkers using his magic in some capacity. He might be helping to cauterize a few wounds with dragon fire in the clinic, poring over the stock in the kitchen and reviving any of the garden's harvest that might be starting to turn...or just out walking--translation, patrolling--keeping a watchful eye on anyone spoiling for trouble or anyone in need, casual and unobtrusive while dark eyes roam with a discreet, albeit sharp awareness of his surroundings.]
[Absolutely anyone who knows Maya knows she has her spots she goes to just draw. If she's disappeared, it's probably to go do that if not do rounds just outside. She only recently talked the adults into letting her actually go out for the sake of helping.
If she's not with her sketchbook, maybe you catch her somewhere else in the bunker. Kitchens getting something to eat, or checking out whether or not it was full, maybe she's getting ready to head out to grab some food. But that would mean she's without her jacket and gloves because ink is a pain to get out of those both.]
[ What's left of the town proper is completely covered in fog that is, at times, a bit transmogrifying. Think Silent Hill meets Southbound meets The Mist. The buildings are still there, for the most part. People, if they choose to live in the fog lands, can still live in them. "Legion", for instance, lives in the old brothel, setting up shop in it's Ballroom for the most part. It's where you can find him, on occasion.
The saloon, oddly enough, is mostly the same. If you can get there, The Man In Charge somehow keeps it well stocked with alcohol and movies that run almost 24 hours a day. Who is the Man in Charge? Guess you'll have to find out, huh.
Almost everything in the Fog Lands is covered in a fine layer of ash or dirt. Monsters run around the place. The dome seems to be holding, at least.
For now.
Someone seems to have repaired some of those old public TCs.
Throw your character into the Fog Lands, see what's what. ]
[ There aren't that many lights in the saloon, it makes for a weird ambience. But there's plenty of alcohol to drink and one guy here to serve it. The arcade is still open, though quite a number of the machines are rusted through. The ones that aren't? Oddly enough, work pretty well. One of the theatres is still running and currently running a loop of films: Star Wars, Snow White, Die Hard, Clueless and Sign of the Cross. Looping over and over again.
There are a few odd monsters in here, not really hurting no one. Gremlins, and no doubt the reason the lights are so dim. For the most part, they're drinking and eating old movie candy. ]
[The Shade moves through the streets of New Dodge with precious little disturbance of the world around him. The ash doesn't stir beneath his boots, the grit of dirt does not touch his coat or his hat. Fine particulate in the air drifts, undisturbed, in front of his face, unmoved by breath.
And as he leaves the living world undisturbed, so he is equally untouched by the ravages of the Fog Lands and the loss of what once was.
He leaves the bunkers from time to time for the benefit of his flock, but the life once lived on these streets is a distant memory to the Lord of the Vale now. What embers of humanity lingering in his spirit were doused quite some time ago--he considers this a blessing.
He has his flock. He has his witch. He needs little else, save for what the Fog Lands can provide to the souls in his care.
So he walks, leaving no trace. So he searches, disturbing nothing unless something catches his interest to bring back to the bunker.
So he exists, above the flesh and beyond the spirit, trapped on a lower plane than those where angels, demons, and gods so often dwell.]
Leo knows he should go back to the Bunker, he can feel the weariness creeping in, the need for sleep and food ovewhelming, but he is resisting. He hates the stares and the noise and the warmth. The fog he understands, monsters he understands, people not so much anymore. His hand is surrounding him with a shield of ice as he moves down the street looking for trouble.
video and text and a private telepathic message for jack:
[ Evie Kelly lost the ability to speak when Five Nights at Freddy's decided Dark Dodge was it's new playground. It was a fight with Mangle, some cleverly damaged vocal chords and that lovely scar from above her right eye to below her left cheekbone, that left Evie without a voice.
If she were a mermaid, she'd kiss her husband to see if that gave it back. But there are no mermaids in Dark Dodge. None that anyone want to meet. And Evie has her own methods of communicating, now, so thank God for that. She is even fluent in ASL, and thanks to the living AI in all of New Dodge's systems, Evie's gestures are translated for the town at large, appearing on the bottom of the screen. ]
Strip Mall. Behind Groovy Book Nook. In a hole in the wall. Found a photo album. It is filled with pictures of Old New Dodge. Where should I put it?
[Private Telepathic Message for her Husband.]
There are pictures of you and Peter. From before. You're goofing off on a VR machine and smiling. Do you want me to take them out just for you?
[Cue a familiar face--and always on video, because Neil doesn't feel right deferring to Evie's condition when she can still sign. She's got a grit he recognizes...blood in her eyes, the Great Dragon would have called it.
Today, his jet black hair with its large blonde streak is tied back from his face, and the soot streaking his face and bare torso makes it pretty clear he's been out very recently--and probably breathing fire at someone or something..]
I say library. Good to have records like that--what kinda photos are in it, Shortcake?
[ Back when the event occured, Eugene had gotten trapped in one of his games. With the help of several others in town, he was put into the bunkers AI and now serves as both security and info source. Today, however? He's having a very hard time speaking. Good luck understanding him. Don't worry, he'll repeat it. ]
[ Five minutes later, the same message is repeated, with Eugene sounding a a lot calmer and clearer. ]
I'm sorry about that. Anyway, as stated. new Time Glitch Event recorded. It alternates between rapidly going backwards in time and slowly creeping forwards. You do not want to get stuck in it. It's in the Ashwood Arms apartments, floor 3, apartment 6.
Eugene, out.
[ He'll respond if people talk to him. He may be an AI, but he was a person and Conduit first. ]
Malcolm moved through the fog like a slient wrath. His League armor had been upgraded to the point little could penetrate it now, and that's assuming he could even be seen long enough to be attacked. Shadows were his friends, embracing him until he vanished among them. Some days he missed human contact, but not often. Monsters he understood because he had once been one.
He hunted through the town for both a fight and supplies focused on the mission rather than himself. Is was easier to be a monster these days then a man.

[ He clearly means it in a Not At All way. He doesn't thank Wade for that one at all. Not even a little bit. ]
It only took two weeks to clean up all the Zippit shit everywhere.
